SEC Whistleblower

Under the the SEC Whistleblower program eligible whistleblowers (defined below) are entitled to an award of between 10% and 30% of the monetary sanctions collected in actions brought by the SEC and related actions brought by certain other regulatory and law enforcement authorities.

Retaliation prohibited

To Qualify must be source of “Original Information” meaning:

 

  1. Derived from your independent knowledge or independent analysis; 

  2. Not already known to the Commission from any other source, unless you are the original source of the information;

  3. Not exclusively derived from an allegation made in a judicial or administrative hearing, in a governmental report, hearing, audit, or investigation, or from the news media, unless you are a source of the information; and

  4. Provided to the Commission for the first time after July 21, 2010 (the date of enactment of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act).
